The conference underscored that protecting nature is fundamental to human survival and called for scientific innovation, multidisciplinary research, and community participation to ensure ecological security and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A total of 110 research papers were received from universities and institutions across India, of which 81 peer-reviewed papers were accepted for presentation, reflecting the conference's strong academic rigor and national participation.

The Institution of Engineers (India), Uttar Pradesh State Centre, Lucknow, organized a technical lecture on “El Niño and Global Climateon 10th Jul 2026 .The Keynote speaker, Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh, Director General (Technical), SMS Lucknow, explained the scientific mechanism of El Niño and its potential impacts on the Indian monsoon, agriculture, water resources, extreme weather, and the global climate.
The programme, chaired by Er. Solar energy expert Prof. Bharat Singh said that urban areas can address water scarcity by promoting rainwater recharge in parks and common residential spaces. He emphasized that parks can be designed to conserve groundwater while maintaining their beauty and also support solar panel installations, integrating water conservation with clean energy generation.
Since Lucknow has more than 4,000 reservoirs and ponds, couldgenerate an estimated ₹100 crore in additional business opportunities.

A Royal Charter Day was celebrated by the Institution of Engineers (India), Uttar Pradesh State Centre, at Engineers Bhawan, River Bank Colony, Lucknow, on September 9, 2026.
Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh chaired the programme and welcomed the engineering fraternity present at the meeting. He highlighted the historical significance of the Royal Charter granted to the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI) in 1935 and emphasized the vital contribution of engineers to India’s technological and national development. He stressed that engineers must continuously upgrade their knowledge and skills while combining technical competence with innovation, ethics, and social responsibility.
The Keynote Speaker, Er. G. M. Pandey, emphasized the need for continuous efforts to upgrade professional knowledge and actively involve the younger generation for the betterment of society. The Programme Coordinator, Er. J. B. Singh, briefed the audience on the theme and historical importance of the Royal Charter.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chairman, Chief Guest Er. A. S. Kapoor, Prof. Zamal Nussurat, Er. Mahesh Gupta, Er. R. K. Singh, Er. N. K. Verma, Coordinator Er. J. B. Singh, and all the distinguished members and participants present.

The 59th Engineers’ Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and dignity on 15 September 2026 at Engineers Bhawan, River Bank Colony, Lucknow, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, one of India’s eminent engineers. Er. Vijay Pratap Singh, Chairman, Institution of Engineers (India), Lucknow Local Centre, warmly welcomed the dignitaries, senior engineers and members of the engineering fraternity. He also congratulated the members of Indian Marine Engineers (India) [IME(I)] on the announcement of a new IME(I) chapter in Lucknow.
The programme witnessed the participation of approximately 200 engineers, reflecting the strong enthusiasm and unity of the engineering community. Er. N. K. Nishad proposed the vote of thanks, while Er. D. K. Srivastava efficiently conducted the programme.
