SPEEDS-2026 brought together eminent experts including Padma Shri Dr. Rajendra Singh (Waterman of India), Prof. (Dr.) Onkar Singh, Shri Sushil Kumar Aggarwal, Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Bhatnagar, Dr. Bharat Raj Singh, Er. Vijay Pratap Singh, and Shri Sharad Singh to deliberate on hill ecosystem conservation, water security, climate resilience, renewable energy, and sustainable development.
The conference underscored that protecting nature is fundamental to human survival and called for scientific innovation, multidisciplinary research, and community participation to ensure ecological security and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A total of 110 research papers were received from universities and institutions across India, of which 81 peer-reviewed papers were accepted for presentation, reflecting the conference's strong academic rigor and national participation.

The 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee was observed with reverence and dignity on 6 July 2026 at Viram Khand-5, Gomti Nagar, under the auspices of the Jan Kalyan Samiti. The Institution of Engineers (India), Uttar Pradesh State Centre, Lucknow, organized a technical lecture on “El Niño and Global Climateon 10th Jul 2026.The Keynote speaker, Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh, Director General (Technical), SMS Lucknow, explained the scientific mechanism of El Niño and its potential impacts on the Indian monsoon, agriculture, water resources, extreme weather, and the global climate.
The programme, chaired by Er. Vijay Pratap Singh, Chairman, IEI UP Centre, emphasized the importance of scientific research, modern technology, public awareness and Coordinator, Prof Jamal Nusarat explained for climate resilience and sustainable development. The Programme was concluded by Hon. Secreatry, Er. NK Nisad by extending thanks to Keynote Speaker and all present academicians and technologist.
